The Lodge at Palmer Gulch is nestled in a valley of ponderosa pines just 5 miles west of Mount RushmoreClosest Resort to Mount Rushmore on the Peter Norbeck Scenic Byway- the AAA 3-diamond rated Lodge at Palmer Gulch is an easy drive to Black Hills attractions including Custer State Park- Crazy Horse Memorial- Wind Cave National Park- Jewel Cave National Memorial and Black Hills National Forest lakes and hiking/biking trails. The main lodge consists of 62 western-inspired rooms including 6 suites. The four presidential suites offer a fireplace- kitchenette- king bed- sofa sleeper and balcony. The 2-story king suite offers a king bed- sofa sleeper and full kitchen. The 2-room queen suite offers a queen bed- sofa sleeper and kitchenette. Youll keep busy Memorial Day to Labor Day with fun right at the resort- including two heated pools- two spas- a 180-ft waterslide- guided horse trail rides- a fishing pond and paddleboat rentals- mini golf- chuck wagon dinners and golf cart rentals. Horse-drawn hayrides are scheduled twice a week- two nightly movies and live music three nights a week. Scavenger hunts- cartoons and crafts keep kids entertained. Stay connected with FREE Wi-Fi. When youre ready to see the sights- hop on the nightly shuttle to the lighting ceremonies at Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial. Hungry A full-service restaurant- pancake tent and fast food including pizza are on site. Car rentals and guided Black Hills tours are also available. Groups and reunions are welcome at the Lodge with 3 spacious meeting facilities- catering service and large grassy areas for baseball games and picnics. Gather around a campfire in the evening to roast marshmallows for gooey smores and sing cowboy songs or tell scary ghost tales.
