For year-round outdoor sports and gorgeous scenery, one can try the Crafts Inn by Endless Vacation Rentals, which was designed in 1898 by Stanford White and is now registered as a National Historic Landmark. The Haystack and Mount Snow ski areas are within six miles. In addition to the average annual snowfall of 15 feet, snowmaking ensures plenty of snow from mid-November to early May. In summer, one can enjoy swimming and boating on 14-mile-long Lake Whitingham, as well as playing tennis, golfing, and horseback riding. It is a professionally managed resort and offers an indoor pool, racquetball court, saunas, hot tub, and restaurant. The resort checks identification and the person whose name is on the confirmation must be 21 years or older. Guests arriving for check in after 8 pm must call the resort in advance for special arrangements. |
